MONMOUTH ISELIN AUGUST 16

The horses in morning line order...

7- Grasshopper.[121] 2/2 at Monmouth. Has placed and showed often when the favorite. Entire reputation rests on one Grade 3 win.

2- Gotcha Gold. [123] Ultimate Monmouth horse, has won or placed 9 of 11 at the Shore. Has beaten tough Grade 3 fields twice, and scored in that class at 3-1 as well.

3- Honest Man. [122] 5 for 9 overall. Lousy trip last, and ferocious pace, so we can toss that race. Wins put him in Graded company. Been running bullet works since last race.

8-Shopton Lane. [123] 8 for 16 overall. No graded races, but the last 3 were equal or better to Grasshopper's.

5- Kiss the Kid. Only wins are on wet tracks at miniscule odds.

4- Five Steps. [124] 9 for 17 overall and awesome win last. Improving. Consistently underrated by bettors. Surely worth 6/1. .... But never raced at the Shore.

1- Cuba [123] (with Actin Good) 5 wins in the last 6. Surely capable on best day. Another horse underestimated by bettors.

6- Pleasant Strike. [120] 4 for 17. Latest wins muddy and grassy.

BETTING ORDER...
Toss Kiss the Kid and Pleasant Strike based on their freak performances.

That leaves us five horses.
Toss Grasshopper, low odds.

That leaves us four horses.

Five Steps, Gotcha, Honest, Shopton.

To be played in all exotic combinations and to wps. Best Bet: Gotcha Gold to place.
