1: 2Crimson Prince or 3Due Date
2: Lotsa firsters
3: 1Delta Charlie
4: Lotsa firsters
5: Maiden
6: Maiden
7: Maiden
8: Queens 50K (P3, P2)
Qualifiers:
10Pola's Place (118@103) Proven ability to wire the field on this surface.
6Victoriana (116@95) 2 wins here and new trainer. Maybe a rabbit for...
4Gem Sleuth (120@94) who has a shot if pace melts.
9Just for Keeps (119@92)speedball and real contender at distance, surface.
Pola's Place has the pace edge and a good post outside.
9: Hansel 50K (P2,3,4)
Qualifiers:
3U.S. Cavalry (95@119) and 4/4 at the distance, surface
7Stormin Yank (91@116) 2/2 but untried on the poly.
2Little Nick (91@118) toss last two, which were way over his class.
The problem is, U.S. Cavalry is not in a favorable post and could well be exhausted by Mitigation, Little Nick, or other speedsters. He is still the best horse, tho.
10: Bourbon Oaks G3 (P2,3)
Speed is at a disadvantage in this one.
4Maren's Meadow (95@119) may get a clear lead. Faded on her own pace in only mile.
5Clearly Foxy (90@121) 2/2 until BC slop. Unknown on this surface.
7A to the Croft (90@121) Certainly can stalk and win. Toss BC slop.
6Morakami (90@116) Probably an allowance horse.
11: Rushaway 100K (P2)
8Icabad Crane (94@121) off. Closed to win last, but helped by pace.
3Holidaze (93@120) toss ugly last. Two back, won even though checked.
7Big Glen (97@119) Likes the surface.
5Targe (92@118) Ditto.
Inside is the place to be, which gives Holidaze the edge.
12: LANE'S END
There are at least six real contenders here, which suggests looking for a price of about 5-1.
8- Halo Najib (121@95) has a couple of wins on poly.
11- Turf War has one credible race (120@94) but in that one, closed on a fast pace.
5- Adriano did the same for his win (118@97) but in a first-level allowance.
6- Racecar Rhapsody (119@95) a stone closer, has been tough in every race.
2- Macho Again (119@94) has a lot to prove, but his last one was hot.
1- Duke of De Buke (119@95) likewise, but has some longer races.
3- Chitoz (117@94) is proven over this course.
9- Cannonball (119@93) is a turf horse with some distance potential.
Duke of De Buke will lead 'em around, but fade badly. When they come around the turn, Halo Najib looks best at withstanding the pace. But I want a price, because this is a real scramble.
