AQUEDUCT MARCH 29

#1 Claimer
2-Ivory Star.
I see a pace meltdown even at this distance, with Ivory Star the survivor.
4-All About is the prime suspect for melting down.

#2 Hcp
3-Wild Geese. Best horse entered at AQU today. But everybody knows it.

#3 1X
1-Hold That Prospect. Speed, rail, 5 good races in a row.

#4 Claimer
I go with Melodeeman at 3-1 or better, simply because no other horse seems interested.
But I won't leave Holly Time off the multis.

6-Holly Time One win long ago at Monmouth, claimed from Dutrow, which probably isn't good.
8-Melodeeman 8 months off, working okay, but wasn't great before layoff.
4- Mighty Gulch. Given a rest, but was always a longshot sprinter.
2- Sonny Pajamas. At least enjoys post bias.
1- Come on Chas. No speed. This is a sprint.

#5 2X Dash
A dart-throwing head-scratcher where you may as well look for a price. Extreme speed bias.
Of the speedsters:

1-Storm Boot Gold. Toss last route and the horse is in form.
2-Show of Colors is declining and ran worse after a slop race, always a caution.
5-Sigh You. Looks like they're trying to get rid of this horse.
6-Soulshine. Big jump in class but worth the bet at 3-1 or more.
7-Strummer. Not in this class if the track's dry.

#6 MDN
1-Great Emperor with his stablemate the only rational choice and a worthy single.

#7 1x
2-Sorority Sister has been beautifully managed by Dutrow, getting better with each race, and may be ready to show something special.

#8 THE NEXT MOVE

1- Stage Luck. 120@92. One handicap win, faded at this distance last time.
2- Wow Me Free 116@97. Off, working really well, 6-1 ML would be a bargain considering trainer. Has a win at the distance.
3- Wild Hoots. 119@96. Woke up when switched to dirt. Just missed at the distance.
4- Cowgirls Don't Cry 117@95. Wired a slow-paced route. Unlikely at this distance.
5-Runway Rosie.119@97. 3 good wins at Aqueduct, one at the distance.

None of these horses has early speed and the pace of this race is likely to be pretty slow. That gives the advantage to Wild Hoots, who will probably take over on the back stretch. But Wow Me Free is probably worth 4-1, and a spot on the multi.
