LATE BREAKING SECOND THOUGHTS

After pouring over the BC Classic, I nominate David Junior for your exotics. George Washington is the Euro-horse who's getting all the hype, but Junior has 3 Grade 1 wins across the pond, and has better earnings-per-start than any horse but Bernadini. He was beaten by Ouija Board, but came right back to beat Ouija in the next Grade 1. Battaglia has made him 10-1. George Washington, the hype horse, may be bet down, while Junior figures to offer good value. He may well be worth a spot on your longshot tickets.

Result: David Junior was eased. Maybe I'll have a third thought about my second thoughts.
