HOLLYWOOD JUNE 21

Gonna be a longshot day.
20 plays, $40 bet.
Payback: $42.20

MINIMUM ODDS: 3-1

FIRST: Play the board. The Brit import Rapidity is the only faker here.
** Mr. Katz, one of two at the right price, paid $19.20.

SECOND: Major Smoke keeps improving.
Sweepemup obviously primed, but not worth short price.
*Draft Choice becomes interesting over 5/1
Placed at 5/1

THIRD: Won't back a short price here.
Liberian Freighter, obviously. But not at short tote...
Polonius. Toss the SA fiasco.
*EZ Dreamer. Not out of it if Nakatani can rate him.
Placed at 5-1
Tiz West. 5 good races now.

FOURTH: I think Matinee could surprise here at 20/1. Crowd will dismiss non-HOL races. I don't want to make too much of 'em, but look at the last work. Is this hoss really 20/1? Short race, he pops the gate, jockey doesn't fall off...
Matinee, Lauren C, Msty Aly, King City Kitty
*Mysty out at 6-1.
*Matinee showed at 38-1.

FIFTH: Another longshot race. Won't play under 5/1.
*Dwango. 6/1, not 20-1 ML, based on Hess record. Hess owns a piece of this hoss. Toss the turf workout posing as race. Brilliant when right.
Grits. 3/1 or better. Rising figures, could win on right trip.
*Driven by Excess. 4/1 Cutback could help. Nothing at 5-1.
*Indian Weaver. Outsider, yes, but 10/1 not 20/1. Give another HOL chance. Troubled last. Nada at 10-1.
*Winning Tactics 8/1. Both wins at HOL. Has been running over his head a long time. Nada at 18-1.
*Johnny High Brite 8/1. Can Mullins help this loser? Has only sprinted once before. Showed at 9/1.

SIXTH: Maiden turf... I'm looking for 8/1 minimum
B's Lucky Strike
*Orientate Slew won and paid $12.00
Top Gone
*Yesyes Ohyes. Nothing at 41-1.

SEVENTH: Looking for 5/1.
*Candlestick Park 5/1 that Mullins can shape up cactus-eater. Placed at 4-1
*Judge Gallivan 5/1. Nice claim. Showed at 5-1.
Justinplace 6/1 just the kind of drop that wins.
Quasimodo What a mystery. Horse is 8/21, with 5 good straight races. Claimed by a competent trainer... who then puts an exercise rider on top. Out at 7-1.
*Tolnai 5/1 I doubt will last. Post advantage. Out at 5-1
Presidential Cause. 4/1 on drop, switch to Rafey. (who's winning 25% of routes.)

EIGHTH: Finally, a single.
*Quick Enough. Won, paid $3.80

NINTH: $2 flyer.
*Adhere won and paid 7.40
*Excessive Dreamer nothing at 6-1.
*Carmen's Access show at 6-1.
