THISTLEDOWN-8 THE OHIO DERBY.
2 Gone Astray ... Drew off in Philly at this distance and class, the obvious chalk.
3 Join In The Dance ... on the pace to place in the same race. The choice if >5-1.
11 Giant Oak. 2nd to Musket Man the last time on the dirt at this class. Good at 5-1.
6 Karama. Improving and willing, worth a toss to bust class boundaries if >10-1.

BELMONT-6 THE BELDAME (likely to be an off track)
2 Music Note 108 Proven three times in grade, and the obvious unbettable chalk.
1 Captain's Lover/1A Unbridled Belle... Big sloppy win at the Shore for Captain's. Belle also has a good slop in Delaware. Scratch would play big into any decision, since both have a big chance. But they are likely to be overlooked in the frenzy over Music Note and with the right pace and trip either could make the Note go sour.
3 Copper State ... Asmussen's just looking for a little piece of the big pie, right?

-7 THE VOSBURGH
5 Fabulous Strike ... deserving favorite, but crowd will bet him to oblivion. Has 40% shot, which translates to 3-2 on the tote.
1 Go Go Shoot ... ran tough with these guys last time and worth 5-1.
4 Kodiak Kowboy ... closer who can win, but maybe not on off tracks. Big odds.
3 Munnings ... tough guy, but does not appear to like wet tracks. Need big odds.

-8 THE FLOWER BOWL (no bet if taken off the turf)
4 Dynaforce ... last year's winner, beat Pure Clan in Chicago, yes if 5-1.
3 Pure Clan ... 5-for-9 on the turf, but has never beaten a really rough field. 5-1 please.
1 Carribean Sunset ... tough but not dominant here... 5-1 or no bet.

-9 THE TURF CLASSIC
1 Gio Ponti ... kind of likes winning G1 on the turf. But you won't make money betting on the obvious, and this brave soul is likely to go off at coward's odds.
8 Grand Couturier ... 4-for-9 at the distance. Worth a longshot bet.
7 Presious Passion... Perfect distance for this warrior, and with Elvis whispering in his ear, a good longshot bet. Will probably try to wire this marathon, and has done it in the past.

-10 JOCKEY CLUB GOLD
3 Summer Bird ... obviously. Maybe too obviously.
2 Macho Again ... awesome closer and as such, a good bet to place. Wins at big odds all the time. Makes an excellent underneath horse in exactas. Bet to win-place if crowd gives odds.
7 Quality Road ... absolutely frightening if they ever get him right. But until he returns to form, we need odds.
