TURFWAY PARK SEPT 29

Score: $17.60 for $12.00

1: "They" say Calvin aboard John's Road at 8/5. It's one thing to be the most talented horse, it's another to win. Nobody knows how this horse will take to Poly, and at cheap odds, I'll pass.
Won but only paid $3.

2: Victory Flyer, proven on Poly, is also in a class by himself.
Beat by a length at 4-1.

3: Time to get a hot dog.

4: Dick G is the logical horse. National Day, check his record at TP. Worth a flyer or exotic.
Both were awful.

5: Another hot dog.

6: Smwhrover.... 30/1 come on, that's ridiculous.
Pass.

7: Pirates on the Lake, back on the plastic, where he likes to win. Elite Squadron will lead them into the stretch and tire.
Nose winner, paid $6.00

8: Pick 'em...
*Texas Fever 116@89P, big maiden win.
Paid $7.80
*Blackberry Road 116@69P, rough trip, G3.
*TJ's Posse 117@84P in G3

9: Danzon, they say, after Diana and the layoff and probably a dose of snake venom. I think I'll make it a personal crusade to beat The Frog.
*Kettleoneup. Calvin, 121@102 at least has seen the poly.
*India 122@100. No poly.
Danzon beat me.

10: KENTUCKY CUP CLASSIC.
* Hard Spun. The only time he showed a taste for distance was right here at the Lane's End.
Paid $3.80

* Street Sense. Prohibitive odds.
* Stream Cat, not out of the question for Mr. Snakebite.
If you compare just their Poly races, Hard Spun wins.

11: Hot dog #3.
