TOMMY TAROT'S PICKS FOR FAIRGROUNDS 3/24

THE DAY'S RESULTS:
$24 BET
$43.60 WON
181% RETURN
4 WINS/10 BETS

THE DETAILS....

RACE1:
What a race!
Gunter's Encore draws The Fool. Beatable chalk.
Simply Slated draws The Lovers. Looks like a winner.
Rhyme Royal draws Judgment. Claim? Lame?

Gunter's Encore scratched.
Simply Slated paid $6.00

Race 2:
Heidi Cat draws Strength which pictures a woman with her hands in the mouth of a big cat. Hmmm. 8/1 in the morning line.

Heidi Cat left her Strength in the gate.

Race 3:
El Yeah -- The Emperor
Prissy's Day -- Wheel of Fortune.
This calls for an exacta box.

Box lost but El Yeah paid 23.40

Race 4:
Bright Hall -- Queen of Cups. Whoooeeee. The Tarot is playing the longshot here. Bright Hall is 10/1 and has 3 pretty bad races in his most recent history.

Bright Hall kept up the negativity.

Race 5:
Mi Isabella draws the "Justice" card. She's 3/1 with two wins in a row. The horse, I mean. Not Lady Justice.

Mi Isabella $3.80

Race 6:
Corrupt draws the Knight of Pentacles, who, on the card, is pictured riding a horse. Could there be any greater sign from the beyond? Bet the house!

Or maybe just the garage. Corrupt was eased to last.

Race 7:
Tarot gets chalky, choosing Nowandforevermore.

Nowandforevermore lost at 5/1.

Race 8:
Tarot picks Royal Madame. Royal has won her last two races, although they were level-1 and level-2 allowances. Her pace and speed are well below what will be needed here, but that doesn't bother the tarot one bit.

It should have. Royal Madame finished last.

Race 9:
The Tarot has a particular fodness for Bobby Frankel and Saint Anddan, the layoff horse, a speedster listed at 8/1.

The Saint won and paid $10.40
